To work with her authentic energy, I recommended display shelves to give her the space to feature her eclectic style and switch out her décor with her mood as well as mirrors to add both light and the illusion of space in the small studio. The dark height of the curtains behind her headboard gives Nicole the power to take charge of her life, and repurposing a catch-all table into a desk allows Nicole to do her work in a dedicated place. Artwork that symbolizes freedom to her was also encouraged, like blue skies, birds, beaches, or dandelions - but who am I to tell her what to do?

My consultation was incredible. As a student and resident of a little studio apartment, I was stuck wondering how I could make such a small space work for me and my lifestyle. Not only did Katie listen to my visions and goals for my space, she brought fresh perspective and new ideas. I expected to enjoy the consultation and take away some good information, but I never thought I would see my apartment in a completely new way. After ending the call, I started making changes and haven't gone back. I see that my studio CAN be stylish, unique to me, and functional all at the same time. I would recommend this consultation to everyone that wants to see their space in a fresh light and work with someone who integrates research and a keen eye for style to refresh and reinvigorate their space.
